Working remote? Nextiva Helps Keep it Simple

In the past few weeks, the working remote has taken on a whole new meaning. With companies needing to move their entire workforce to home offices, suddenly both my LinkedIn feed and inbox are filled with content aimed at how to help me work from home.

I recently did a quick Google search on “tools needed to work remote”. Several articles popped up telling me the top 10, top 25, (even top 50!) apps I should consider in order to be successful. For the most part, the apps listed provided a specific solution: video conferencing, team messaging, screen share, productivity tools, analytics – you name it.

I also came across a term new to me: “app fatigue”. The consensus among a large percentage of those of us working at home, apparently, is that we would rather do household chores, pay the bills, or clean out our inbox than spend time navigating between workplace apps. We are also growing weary of communicating on so many different platforms – not to mention being communicated to in so many different places (ding! ring!).

Nextiva’s mission since day one has been focused on breaking down complex problems in order to create straightforward business communications solutions. In other words, solving the problem so many of us face as we toggle between our file sharing and instant messaging and audio and video calls.

In an effort to solve the problem of app fatigue, Nextiva’s answer was to put it all in one place: voice + everything else. In addition to comprehensive UCaaS features, you’ll find:

  • Amazon Chime for multipoint video conferencing (up to 250 attendees per meeting)

  • Microsoft Teams integration eliminates the need to switch between Nextiva Voice and Teams App

  • Enhanced integrations (Hubspot, Salesforce, Zendesk, and more)

Nextiva also added key products to help businesses streamline communications as employees moved to a remote environment:

  • Nextiva Unity Contact Center - an omni-channel contact center that empowers remote workers to manage email, Twitter, web chat, and web callback as they communicate with their customers

  • Advanced IVR w/ conversational AI - provides automated virtual agents to handle the routine and repetitive transactions for a business, supporting more than 120 languages

Even the healthcare industry has had to pivot, communicating with patients over the phone, and conducting medical appointments via video. In response, Nextiva created a true telehealth solution – with voice, fax, and video all available as HIPAA-compliant offerings, all in one place.

With companies like Twitter announcing that their employees will be allowed to work from home permanently, it will be interesting to see how many businesses follow suit. I think the sheer volume of employees now working remotely will drive demand for solutions that do not lead to “app fatigue.”

If you’d like to have a conversation about the sudden deluge of remote workforce options and the options for how best to navigate them, contact me. And yes – you’ll find me in my home office.
